Goals:

What do you want to accomplish?

I don't want to scare you into believing that multimedia development is something beyond your abilities- I want to encourage you to start developing your own projects while remaining cognizant of ways to improve them. Hopefully this course will help you establish a modus operandi of best practices for developing multimedia.

For your production to be successful, you must determine what it needs to accomplish and HOW it can be accomplished. Your goals should be measurable and behavior-based from the end user's standpoint.

Some questions to ask in determining what your goals should be:

  • What are your OBJECTIVES?
  • What are the problems you are trying to solve?
  • What are the advantages and positive aspects of what you wish to communicate??
  • What would you like most to do with your project?

Then Analyze Needs-This first step is often taken for granted, but if you start here you are a lot more likely to end up with something that works well for you.

Draft Mission Statement-This is the process of formulating a response to the needs that you have identified and putting the results down on paper.

Assignment One

This is a dated site(Director 4-5) but it contains some good information.

Read the conceptualization section and begin brainstorming a concept for your project- email me your thoughts at this point.
