From the 1905/6 Montgomery Ward catalog: The Keystone Guitar Illustrated
above represents another of our wonderful musical
instrument bargains, the beauty and tone value of which
it is impossible to show on paper. But, if you are in
the market for a guitar at this price and wish to get
the greatest possible value for your money or in other
words if you wish a guitar such as your home dealer
would sell you for about $8.00 to $10.00, send us your
order for this instrument. The Keystone is full standard
size, back and sides grained in perfect imitation of
rich rosewood., finely
finished and highly polished. The top or sounding board
is made of spruce varnished and polished, colored wood
inlaid around sound hole, outer edge inlaid with colored
wood, broad strip of colored wood inlaid in back, upper
and lower edges bound with white celluloid, rosewood
finger-board, pearl position dots. American patent head,
new pattern, nickel plated tail-piece,
steel strings. This guitar has the appearance of genuine
rosewood, is a handsome model and the tone is excellent.
