In the Garden
In the garden was a glorious home
In the garden a Tree stood alone
There in the garden was Godís holy throne,
He walked among men.He called us His friends
His Glory was shown!
But there in the Garden Sin entered in
The fruit was forbidden to men
And there in the Garden they died there and then
Godís Word they did doubt
So they were cast out
To die in their Sin.
Man was the keeper, the Gardener-king
The sower and reaper and ruler of all things
But the tree was lovely for the knowledge it brings
But man suffered loss as it became a cross
Now a sad song He sings.
And now a new gardener works outsideÝ a tomb
A place that is empty because it has bloomed
Itís seed has sprung forth now , has broken the earth
He has risen again, in his garden heíll tend
Its fruit of new birth
