By Your Word

By Your Word You have created all things

By Your Word of wisdom all creation sings!

The light and the earth and the creatures and man

And time itself march toÝ your Holy command.

By your Word of Promise you called out Abraham

And declared his descendants would be like the sands

By Your Word the promise would come to be shown

You would create a people and called them your own.

By Your Word of Your Law a people was formed

The Word of the Lord came and a nation was born.

By your word of deliverance your people came out

Of their bondage and suffering and darkness and doubt

Your Word declared new life to Ezekiel's day

Resurrection would come by the word you would Say.

When You sent forth your word so we could comprehend

When the Word became flesh and dwelt among men.

By Your Word your Spirit will indwell and live:

In each heartÝ your Word entersÝ New Life it will give

So the Word of the Lord is within us displayed.

Oh come and receive and believe it today .
