Sojourner
I am a sojourner Iím not a settler
I am a pilgrim, Iím bound to roam
I am a nomad, Iím not a colonist
I am an alien, this is not my home.
I am an exile, I am no native
I am a refugee but here I stand
I am uprooted, Iím a wayfarer
I am a stranger in a strange land
I have a better dwelling place
A place to take my rest
Where Iíll reside forever and a day
A home in heaven waits for me
A mansion Christ prepared
And day by day I am on my way
I am a traveller I am a migrant
Iím on my way to the place that Iím from
I am a rover, seeking his longing
Iím on a journey this is not my home
