Rapture
Caught up out of myself in a rapture from the flesh
Caught up in the grandeur ever hopeful ever fresh
NotÝ to be made much of but to make much of my Lord
To seek the treasure of hisÝ smileÝ and to see His name adored.
Be praised in every line of my salvation
Be praised in every chapter of my tale
Be praised in everyÝ thing I do
If not done unto your glory may it fail!
For you my life
sings like a song
Or perhaps reads
like a book.
I want to ride
with melodies
That require a
second look.
Rooted forever
in your grace
Springing from
the council of eternity
Raptured from my
puny desires
By being
conformed to my hope of glory
A different
nobler light
The reason for
which we were born
The glory of god
revealed in all
Who are saved
from the wrath to come.
