Celebrate the Cross
The wisdom of God is foolish to man
Embrace it and be called a fool
By Godís foolishness we understand
The servant is the one who will rule
Lift up the loser
Pray for the peacemaker
Champion compassion
Laud those who suffer loss.
So I will savor real service
Honor humility
Cherish true charity
To celebrate the cross.
For those who choose to forsake gain to lose
For the sake of the faith once delivered
They shall overcome- the victory is won
And the blessed shall be known as the giver.
Now he who would gain it all
Must now accept the call
To spread broken wings and learn to fly.
For to keep your life you must give it
To gain your life you must live it
Willing to lay down your life and die
Lift up the loser
Pray for the peacemaker
Champion compassion
Laud those who suffer loss.
So I will savor real service
Honor humility
Cherish true charity
To celebrate the cross.
