The stones that Moses's hands had held lay broken on the ground

For when he brought them from the Lord gross sin was what he found

These were stones not carved by man

Broken now by Moses' hand

Did Israel understand - what had been done?

For the covenant was broken by the sin of shameless men

But Yahweh would keep His Word and make them blameless once again

But now the tablets must be carved by Moses' human hand

God would sanctify them with His touch to show His grace to man

For the testimony of His Grace is shown throughout God's plan

For God will take what men my break and restore it once again

So by His touch We are restored

To fellowship with a Holy Lord

Never to be broken, safe and secure

For the word God has spoken will ever endure!

The living stone lay broken- His work was now complete

The sin He bears for you and I did bind His hands and feet

Though there could be no broken stone to hold God's sacrifice

An offering with unbroken bones would fully pay sin's price.

The new covenant was broken by the sin of shameless men

The Father would keep his word and restore his son again

Though His flesh was carved by scars borne for no sin of His own

God would raise Him from the rubble to become our cornerstone!

For the testimony of His Grace is shown throughout God's plan

So by His touch We are restored

To fellowship with a Holy Lord

Never to bebroken, safe and secure

For the word God has spoken will ever endure!
