To Live is Christ

To Live is Christ and to die is gain

These are words that haunt me thought their meaning's very plain

Can I hope to understand the truth these words contain?

To Live is Christ... and to die is gain!

If To Live is Christ and to die is gain

Each moment finds hop in Him and our days are not in vain

Every passing moment whether pleasure or of pain

To Live is Christ and to die is gain!

When face with dying daily to the comforts that I seek

And putting off the motives that tell me never to be weak

When in my weakness Jesus' strength will be my hiding place

And I know that in my final rest I'll meet him face to face!

So To Live is Christ, then to die is gain

To boldly reach the throne of grace where Christ forever reigns

And there for all eternity my joy he shall sustain

For To Live is Christ and to die is gain
