The Heart of Jesus

Looking to the future with a vision

Looking for an outbreak and release

Do you see the harvest? Like a dagger in your heart

Do you long for their salvation and their peace?

Looking to the people with compassion

Look inward to the motives of your heart

See aching needs and conflict and pain that never stops

Broken lives and homes that this world would tear apart

We need the heart of Jesus to deal with the hearts of men

For between the will of God and needs of people we must stand

For the heart of Jesus is the heart of all who are of Him

A heart that beats compassion and that reaches out to men.

Looking now with great anticipation

Looking for the master's soon return

will he find us ready- god's stewards od His cause

Faithful to the souls for which the heart of Jesus yearns?

We need the heart of Jesus to deal with the hearts of men

For between the will of God and needs of people we must stand

For the heart of Jesus is the heart of all who are of Him

A heart that beats compassion and that reaches out to men.
