The One With Outstretched Arms

Against the people of God from age to age

The heathen have attacked, the darkness has raged-

When Moses stood upon a hill as His nation was assailed

He stretched out His arms and Israel prevailed

Without help he would have failed.

At the crossroads of History another war was waged

Between the darkness and the Light the battle raged

And the Son of God upon a hill stretched out His arms and died

The final victory was won with no on by His side

As He was crucified

Look to the one with outstretched arms

the power of God will keep you from harm

His arms spread wide to turn the tide

To empower throughout life's storm

Look to the one with outstretched arms

His arms open wide to invite you to come

His embrace is waiting for you -

For whosoever will, He will give life anew!
