Lord, have Mercy!

The sin of this world destroys men

The pain and the perishing never neds

The despair and the dying seem meaningless

Hearts are crushed and cold instead of blessed

But Jesus is merciful- Oh Lord have mercy!

Jesus is gracious- Oh Lord have mercy!

Have mercy on me- cleanse me now and change me

Lord have mercy on me!

the world is fallen to rise no more

But Jesus recreates and restores

He mends broken lives with his care

He'll mercifully mend any man by this prayer-

For Jesus is merciful- Oh Lord have mercy!

Jesus is gracious- Oh Lord have mercy!

the heart is wicked and full of deceit

The sin of our hearts is cruel and complete

But Jesus is able- he provided a way

For penitent souls to see a new day!
