Give it Over

We try to be what we cannot be

We smash everything to the ground

If it doesn't meet our false standards

We won't look for what can be found!

It's self styled perfection or nothing

So we end up with empty hands

While bearing the weight of the world on our shoulders

And shoring up all our own plans

Will we bow before Him?- For He is Lord

We are enemies who cannot afford

Not to surrender our wills and sin

There's no question He is Lord

One day every knee shall bend

He shall be feared or adored

Every tongue confess - proclaim Him to men!

We're not willing to see what we are

Refusing to acknowledge our need

And fearing God from afar

When he loved us all so very much

And has for us a future and a plan

If we will accept His love

Surrender to what He began!

Bow before Him!- For He is Lord
