And another heads-up on the population clock for you clock watchers...

We are back from celebrating Ma Smith's 96th birthday...

...and a pleasant time was had by all. I never saw so many cards in one place other than Hallmark! Earnie's whole family-except one brother- were all at Ryan's for a celebratory meal. I missed it since I had to take a conference call from work, but I caught up later.

We went to the Iron Kettle at Grand Rivers and there was a Harvest Festival going on. We headed back and celebrated my brother Tom's birthday that evening at Buckhead Mountain Grill. I am partied out!

The Village of Grand Rivers has been presenting its famous fall event, the Hunter's Moon Festival, each October since 1978.  This four-day festival, a real "down-home" affair, is held on the second weekend of October and is named for the first full moon after the Harvest Moon.  This date provides an opportunity for local folks and visitors alike to enjoy the event during the warm days and cool nights of early autumn.
