Wonders Never Cease

When I see the heavens I will hear them speak your peace
When I see the mountains I will rise and find release
For wonders never cease for all wonders are in You
And wonder of wonders the wonderful is true!

When I see the rivers I feel the Spirit flow
When I see the oceans, Your depths I’ll seek to know
For wonders never cease, Your wonders still amaze
And wonder of wonders, You reveal your wondrous ways

You are the Wonder of wonders
You are the Wonderful One
High above the heavens and earth
Your wondrous will be done!

When I see the star fields Spinning like a wheel
I will praise their Creator that in them is revealed
For wonders never cease, for there’s wonder in your Grace
And wonder of Wonders, we shall see your face
Wonder of Wonders come meet us in this place!

There is none like You

There is none like You- one whose mercy’s overflowing
There is none like You- none so beautiful as You
There is none like You- all seeing and all knowing
None so faithful and true, There is none like You

There is none like You, so compassionate and just
There is none like You, who is worthy of all praise
There is none like You Deserving all our trust
Your name we raise, oh Ancient of Days!

Lord You are beautiful! Your name we adore!
Before your high and mighty throne we all bow down
Lord your holiness and mighty power we confess
There is no god like Yahweh to be found.

There is none like You, none so wonderful and wise
There is none like You-The beginning and the end
There is none like You-One who never sleeps nor dies
Your mystery we’ll never comprehend
For all of this we dare to call You friend!

Another Way

Lord this morning as I pray
Show me how to live this day
In all I do and all I say
To find another way to bring You Glory!

Help me Lord my knee to bend
As my days on Earth I spend
From their beginning till their end
I’ll find another way to bring You Glory.

Help me Lord to seek the lost
To cross all paths that must be crossed
Help me Lord to pay the cost
To find another way to bring You Glory!

In my dealings with all men
On your grace I will depend
The Hope within me to defend
And find another way to bring You Glory.

How do we glorify the One in whom All glory’s found?
Declare the glory, live by faith until we’re glory bound!

When I bow my head tonight
May your servant in your sight
Be good and faithful True and right
To be another way to bring You Glory!
Make me another way to bring You Glory!
Make me another way to bring You Glory!

More

More than I could ask or think
Take me Lord beyond the brink
Of the farthest place I could see
Where you’ll mean even more to me

Lord, You’re more, you’re more, you’re so much more,
Much more than I’ll ever perceive.
But I want more and more, and even more
Give me more than I could ever believe!

I choose you as my treasure
The one for whom I thirst
O’er every earthly treasure
Because you chose me first.
There is no good apart from you
In You I hold to all that’s True
So I would show that truth in all that I do

More than I could think or ask
In your glory I would bask
To live my life to honor your name
With the integrity of my life proclaim

Lord, You’re more, you’re more, you’re so much more,
Much more than I will ever know
But I want more and more, and even more
Your majestic glory to show.

I take you for my treasure
I pick you for my prize
Beyond all joys and pleasures
You’re most precious in my eyes
There is no good apart from you
In You I hold to all that’s True
So I would show that truth in all that I do

Lord, You’re more, you’re more, you’re so much more,
Much more than I could ever bear
But I want more and more, and even more
Of your mercy beyond compare.

The flowers pictured on this page are September flowers. Even our lilac is in bloom right now, and I do not ever recall that happening!

March of the Penguins continues to march. check out Michael Medved's take on how Christians are enjoying the movie. And here is the official site at WB.

Pope Benedict XVI is said to have approved a document saying that homosexual men should not be ordained as Roman Catholic priests, a conservative Catholic Web site reported. I read in the St. Louis Post Dispatch a figure that shocked me- varying reports that between 10 and 50 percent of Catholic Priests are gay, celibate or not. If they cannot get any more accurate than that, why report it?

"Would you believe?..." Don Adams of TV's Get Smart has died. Link here.

And in other not so newsy news (op-ed), the mainline continues its decline...Protestant churches continue to move away from faith and towards left-wing politics...

See you at the pole this Wednesday!

Short attention span? Then check out the hundred minute Bible

I'll be watching No Direction Home the next two nights, Martin Scorsese's film on the early life of Bob Dylan.
Except for the Grace of God

Except for the grace of God I would I would not be here
Except for the grace of God all joy would flee.
For every good thing is held safe by God’s own staff and rod
And I would be lost now except for the grace of God
Except for the grace of God I would be wandering
To join the swarm of death along the road
But I’ll lie down in green pastures, sink my roots in holy sod
I am held fast there by the good, good grace of God.
Except for the grace of God I could not think straight
For flights of fancy clutter up my mind
And the very fact that I am sane would be so very odd
I would go crazy except for the grace of God
For all that I’ve been spared from in this place
For every circumstance I have not faced,
Deliverance and mercy my terrors all replace
And bring me joy instead by God's good grace
For by the grace of God I now am living
And by the grace of God one day I’ll die
I’ll stand before those gates of pearl and receive heaven’s nod
I could do nothing except for the grace of God.

Sing of the Beauty of the Lord

We see you in the beauty of the earth
We see you in the glory of the skies
For all good things declare your worth
Evident to our exulting eyes
So Oh Lord to your we raise
A song of thanks a song of praise
And we shall sing it all our days
So we Sing of the beauty of the Lord.

For the beauty of our time
For the joys of sound and sight
For the rhythms of words that rhyme
For the radience of the light
Lord in all creation we see
The mystery of holy harmony
Mirroring eternity
So we sing of the beauty of the Lord!

We see you in the wisdom of the flower
We see you in the purity of snow
We see you in the sureness of each hour
The sunrise and seasons all shall show
So Oh Lord to your we raise
A song of thanks a song of praise
And we shall sing it all our days
So we Sing of the beauty of the Lord.

Pictures in the Sky

As I look into the heavens I see a great parade
Pictures in the clouds and stars so beautifully arrayed
My imagination's baptized so there's grace in all I see
For the heavens have declared it and divulged the mystery.
There's a tree and there's a serpent and a man and woman there
And here comes an intercessor trading promise for despair
And there's a rainbow in the heavens, and a cross on the horizon line
Bands of animals in twos and sevens and some are left behind

There's a lamb, and there's a lion and there's a wheel of fire
And there's a bramble-tangled ram- most any picture I require.
And I hear the mountain thunder and I see the red sea part
And I see the people wander and I see their stone cold hearts
There's an ark and there's a temple and there are giants in the land
And an army of ten thousand angels marching on command
The truth's reflected in the skies if it lives within my heart
The pictures are there to make me wise if I regard heaven's art.

Till Christ returns so I will learn
To see with eyes of faith and with His passion burn.

The glory of the Lord is displayed the clouds and in the star fields
To whomever has the eyes to see the pictures are revealed
They are more than just a story more than just a tale
They're a witness to God's glory and they have not yet failed
As I look into the heavens I see a great parade
Pictures in the clouds and stars so beautifully arrayed
My imagination's baptized so there's grace in all I see
For the heavens have declared it and divulged the mystery.
