May 6, 2006 Discovery: I am often amazed at holes in my knowledge, much less my understanding.

Recent Discoveries:

Indelible Grace music. See the site at http://www.igracemusic.com/: there is much beauty at the site.

I believe I have heard the music but as with so much on Christian radio- no announcer is there to tell you what you just heard. The stated goal is " is not change for change's sake, but to rekindle a love of hymns and to invite many who would never associate rich passion with hymns to actually read the words! We believe that we are impoverished if we cut off our ties with the saints of the past, and that we fail to be faithful to God in our own moment of history if we don't attempt to praise Him in forms that are authentic to who we are."

Indelible Grace grew out of a ministry to Reformed University Fellowship, which our friend Duke Cornell has been supporting for many years.

Kevin Twit has a blog.

I'm now part of the Cohort Café and the learning begins as part of the CPHD st Southern Seminary. I went to pick up books yesterday and sadly, the pickings were slim-I'll have to get busy and order them online. Gratefully Ihave read many of them.

I acquired the sixties version of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple movies recently and RE discovered Margaret Rutherford. These are just plain fun, and really not to be compared with Joan Hixson's portayal of the sleuth.

I found and uploaded one of the first major web sites I ever did back around 1995 in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of my county of birth. Here is a link.

Reread Letters to Malcolm: Chiefly on Prayer by Lewis as I was looking for a quote and it turned into an extended stay.

Al Mohler has an informational article on the Gospel of Judas which will say mo- betta than I would.

The first week of working from home went splendidly- a very productive week indeed after having nothing but access problems from the office in Indy last week.

Oh Grand Majesty

Robed in righteousness, ever blessing, ever blessed
The High and Holy King of Heaven and Earth
On our knees we bend as we apprehend
Just a glimpse of Your true nature and your worth
We are awestruck and amazed
You alone deserve All praise
Our creator and redeemer, beginning and end.

Oh Grand Majesty, Radient Royalty
We behold the glory of the Lord Most High
Marvelous mightiness, Thee Thy Name we bless
We declare the Glory of the Lord Most High.

High, exalted One, Sovereign, Savior, Son,
Come and rule from heaven, conquer and command!
Lord extend Your reign, forever make it plain
Your will is in your word for us to understand.
May your Kingdom come and Your Will be done
The keys to life eternal are in your hand.

Oh Grand Majesty, Radient Royalty
We behold the glory of the Lord Most High
Marvelous mightiness, Thee Thy Name we bless
We declare the Glory of the Lord Most High.

Lamb of God

Behold the Lamb of God who takes away our sin
For sin is driven far away by one sacrifice for Men.
Believe the Lamb of God; receive this sacrifice
Entrust our life to Him alone- His work will e're suffice

Belong to God's own Lamb-The Shepherd's words ring clear
Rest in his Fold as mercy's own- follow the voice you hear.
Beware the Lamb of God: Lion of Judah is His name
Declare the power of His might- He is good but never tame.

The One who like a lamb was slain
Now stands and takes his throne
His blood will cleanse the human stain
And heal the hurts we've known.
The Living Lamb in victory stands
The marks of love show on His hands
And ever shall remain! We trust In Him alone!

Become a lamb of God -Enter into His fold
He is the gate by which we come in from the world so cold.
Behold the Lamb of God who takes away our sin
Behold, believe, and then belong, beware, become like Him.

Morningsongs

Songwriting is variously a discipline, a duty, and a delight. It is a place where my spirit and the Spirit commune as I focus my attentions on reality. I count them as a great grace and share the words here. One day I hope to post them in musical format, but that may have to await eternity. then with perfected memory I shall sing them for the Lord all my days, and I have no doubt they will pale in comparison with the newsong He will place on our lips. And we won't even need choir practice!

Bless the Lord Oh my Soul

Bless the Lord Oh my soul
Father son and Holy Spirit from age to age the same
Bless the Lord Oh my soul
Let all that is within me bless His Holy name
And all that is within me bless His Holy name
And all that is within me bless His Holy name.
Bless the Lord oh my soul
Praise Him all creation- all you creatures here below
Bless the Lord oh my soul
Praise Him from whom every blessing flows
Praise him you heavenly hosts every one
Praise the Father Praise the Spirit Praise the Son!

Give us Grace

Lord give us grace to trust in you
To seek your face in all we do
Our thoughts take captive to what's true
Lord give us grace to trust in you
Lord give us grace to persevere
To falter not as the finish nears
To walk by faith in spite of fear
Lord give us grace to persevere
Lord give us grace to just obey
By faith's obedience mark our way
Let us do the things you want every day
Lord give us grace to just obey
Lord give us grace to bend the knee
To humble our hearts so we can be
The servants you have set free
Lord give us grace to bend the knee

Redeeming King

Redeeming King you reign within our hearts
Redeeming King , ruling in every part
In heaven above and on earth below
There's no place to hide for there's no place to go
We will let the world know and so we will sing
Of our redeeming King.
Redeeming king you have bought us with such a great price.
Redeeming King you're a prophet and priest
And so you made the sacrifice
You laid down the crown and you embraced the cross
And for our great gain you have suffered all loss
From slavery we've been redeemed by the Redeeming King!
Beyond every blessing beyond every dream
We're awestruck by what all this freedom can mean
To be bought at no bargain but so we're redeemed
Given liberty that never ends
But in spite of the pain and in spite of the loss
The King of all heaven died thee on the cross
Only the King of Ages could pay the great cost
Our kinsman has become our king
Redeeming king you have bought us with such a great price.
Redeeming King you're a prophet and priest and so you made the sacrifice
You laid down the crown and you embraced the cross
And for our great gain you have suffered all loss
From slavery we've been redeemed by the Redeeming King!

Sea of Forgetfulness

Deep flows the fountain wide flows the stream
Deep enough to overcome every sinners dream
Wide is its current, broad its extent
As far as the horizon sinners shall repent
It flows forever unto its destiny
Where a burial is waiting- a burial at sea.
All our sins are cast away and drowned in the deep
Every sin that you lay down is one you don't have to keep
In the sea of forgetfulness
We are washed clean as we confess
And we are cleansed from all unrighteousness.
In the sea of forgetfulness.
God knows it all but he will not bring
Any charge against a child of the King
For placed within the beloved son
He covers our sin and we are undone.
Woe is me we are Undone!
By His victory we are undone
To be set free we must be undone
For in our undoing the victory's won!

Give us Mercy Give us Grace

Purge me with hyssop and I will be clean
And I will partake of what purity means
Lest holiness remain a mystery
Show us what we all should know
Show us the Father and let the fountain flow
Wash me and I will be whiter than snow.
Wash me and I will be whiter than snow.
Wash me and I will be whiter than snow.
You are Faithful and just-Faithful and true
In you we shall trust-To cleanse and renew
We will confess all our sins unto you
And you will forgive and give us rest
And you cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
