Calm Psalm

I will rest in you I will feed on you
I will drink of you I am kept in you
I will trust in you I will joy in you
I will live in you I will die in you.
Your rod and staff they comfort me
In the shadows, I will not fear
Your perfect peace will overcome
My doubts as I draw near.
As I lay down in your pastures
And from waters still I drink,
My every need shall be fulfilled
Beyond all I ask or think.
I will rest in you I will feed on you
I will drink of you I am kept in you
I will trust in you I will joy in you
I will live in you I will die in you.
When I am faced with trouble
Lord on you I will rely
For you shall shepherd me in life
Until the day I die
As I enter into heaven
With the cup that overflows
Goodness and mercy follow me
As in this world below.
I will rest in you I will feed on you
I will drink of you I am kept in you
I will trust in you I will joy in you
I will live in you I will die in you.

Not to Us

Not to us Oh Lord but to your name give glory
Not to us but to your Holy name give praise
Not to us Oh Lord but to your name give glory
Honor and power and blessing for all of our days!

Lord you are so big and I am so small,
Unto you I flee unto you I'll call.
As the sun breaks on my eyes
I will look unto the skies
And each morning when I rise on my knees I'll fall!

Lord you are so strong and Iam so weak.
I am ONE of many but you are unique
You are creator of my days
You are worthy of my praise
To you alone I turn my gaze as your face I seek!

Lord you are so holy and I am so not
Lord you are so great and I'm not a lot
And I cannot do one thing
Without you, my everything
But I'll bring my offering-I'll give you all I've got

Not to us Oh Lord but to your name give glory
Not to us but to your Holy name give praise
Not to us Oh Lord but to your name give glory
Honor and power and blessing for all of our days!

Story of Glory

Tell of the suffering savior
How He has come down from above
Come now to take us to glory
It's the glorious story of love.
Tell of His grace and His mercy
We never can tell it enough
Tell of this excellent epic,
The glorious story of Love.
Tell with your life and your good works
There's no greater thing to speak of
The work that was finished is started in you
The glorious story of Love
Tell of the  gift  and the giver,
The grace that we are in awe of
Go  and teach the world to tell
The glorious story of love.

All Consuming Fire

All consuming fire of your presence
Test our purposes and our plans
Purify our  humbled hearts
As we lift up holy hands.
For haughty hearts are torn apart
On the rocks of your scandalous grace,
They stumble and fall, alienated in awe
At the prospects of making their case.
But the humble heart is hushed as you start
To establish in them your perfect peace
The fruit of righteousness springing forth
And we ever shall see its increase.
Wooden treasures, jeweels of stubble
Monuments of hay and of chaff
Verily bursting like a bubble
Burning up in the Lord's fiery wrath
All consuming fire of your presence
All  transforming holocaust of holiness
Refine us in your fire, define our one desire
As here at your throne we confess
As we are become your righteousness.

Undeterable Plan

Unspoken dreams lift my heart
Unsearchable comfort sets me apart
Unfathomed promises chart my course
I am sustained by an unquenchable source.

Unconfessed sin can lead me astray
Unbelief threatens to seize the day
Undeserved  mercy delivers me
I have an unshakable   destiny.

For I know Your undeterable plan
To bring me to mercy’s throne
I know not the future, but I’m held by His hand
Who is faithful and true to his own.

Unknowable are all the works of this One
Undeniable all of the deeds He has done
Unable to comprehend, I shall praise!
He is matchless in all of His ways

To Simply Live

When life in its complexities would distract my aim
I want to keep the main thing the main thing.
Though this world is no friend to  the simple and the plain
The good and beautiful life He makes is a pleasing offering.
To simply live, to simply live for Christ
To simply bring my life as a pleasing sacrifice.
With the obedience of faith To simply run the race
To simply live by faith. To simply go with grace.
We live with dire distractions, we play our busy parts
When that which is required of us is a humble, contrite heart.
So come unto the sacrifice that’s made on our behalf
Life is uncomplicated on the straight and narrow path.
To simply live, to simply live for Christ
To simply bring my life as a pleasing sacrifice.
With the obedience of faith To simply run the race
To simply live by faith. To simply go with grace.

I'm thinking about preaching a sermon on overcoming anxiety just using these verses along with Matthew 6.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Deuteronomy 33:25-26 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.   26There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

Phil 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.  9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Romans 8:31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 5:3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;  4And patience, experience; and experience, hope:  5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.  8For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.  9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Philippians 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Hebrews 7:25  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Proverbs 21:31  The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
