Washburn Parlor (or maybe 00) sized 1897 Style New Model! It has an absolutely fabulous flamed rosewood back on this baby. ItÕs definitely an attention grabber. Amazing resonant tone wood. Great sustain. Feather weight. Neck has a slight dip where neck meets body. IÕm guessing the neck was reset. It was well done. ItÕs at a very comfortable action and angle. Saddle has plenty of room to adjust as well. No buzzy frets. Feels great! Lots of light finish scratches/dings on back side and bottom. One small crack on face and 3 or 4 repaired back cracks. Looks like some repaired structural damage as well. Recent luthier repairs to inner braces. Repairs are solid. Ebony fret board. Frets are in very good shape. Beautiful beefy V-shaped neck! Action is low- medium height. Single bound body. IÕm guessing spruce (or possibly cedar) top and rosewood sides and back. IÕm not sure about the neck. Looks like replaced tuners with black plastic buttons. They hold tune well. Currently strung with new Martin Silk & Phosphor strings. Includes moderately worn chipboard case which shows wear and damaged inner lining. All clasps, hinges and handle are intact. Non smoking homes |
