Description Guild Westerly F212XL August 09 2000 FJ100904 |
|
The Guild F-212XL was reintroduced in 1999 (following the Fender take over) and made until Guild closed their Rhode Island factory in 2001 and moved production to California. This powerhouse 12-string features an all-solid mahogany body and a selected solid spruce top. The ebony fretboard has a very classy look, with pearl dot position markers. The tonal warmth of this 12-string classic has never been matched. The F212XL, like all Guild 12- strings, features a double truss rod system. It's available in a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It sports the Chesterfield headstock logo and comes equipped with Grover tuning machines and an Ebony fingerboard and bridge. The bridge is tight to the body. There is significant saddle remaining. The Low E string is currently at about 7/64" at the 12th fret. I know of no issues with the guitar. It's in fine condition. I will say the neck angle is excellent as is. The binding is in nice shape and I see no cracks, breaks or separations of any kind. |
