Description

Taylor 355 12 String

Serial#20001026014/Built in 2000

The Taylor 355 was the original 12-string offering within the solid wood-appointed 300 Series. Originally featuring a jumbo body with no electronics, this was all about natural tone and resonance- but a high quality $300 Fishman Rare earth pickup/mic has been installed. This model is similar in some ways to the Leo Kottke signature model, making it excellent for fingerpicking. Stored in humidity controlled case and room.

Wood Composition: Sitka Spruce top, Solid Sapele sides and back, Mahogany neck.

Taylor 12-string guitars are known for their superior playability, intonation, and stability. All in all, there's nothing to note cosmetically, other than the bookmatched spruce pieces on the top have slightly different coloration. It has its original hardshell case.

It sounds amazing. I think this is the best sounding of all my 12 strings, better than the Yamaha, Gibson, Takamine and Guild, which is saying something. Sapele is a superior tonewood, and there is science to back that up.
