The guitar is very lightly played and in excellent
cosmetic and playing condition for it's age. Frets are in excellent shape.
This model was hand made in Los Angeles, California by Bernardo Rico. This
particular model is outfitted with a German Spruce top, Brazilian Rosewood
back and sides as well as an Ebony fretboard, and
Mahogany neck. It has no adjustable truss rod in the Spanish neck. It has one replacement bridge pin but
the rest of the guitar is bone stock. The guitar has a excellent action, no
buzzing, and
sounds very balanced. There are a couple of light signs of wear in the finish
on the top including an old repair. It has an original black hard case. The top grade Brazilian Rosewood back and sides
Rico used were cut and imported between the 1930's to
1950's while top grade dalbergia nigra was plenteous. Original owner purchased this
from Rico in 1975. Original listing at https://reverb.com/item/56289137-bc-rich-b-38-brazilian-rosewood-dreadnought-1970-s-sunburst-acoustic-guitar |
